ALL ABOUT CLASS: The idea of a "loneliness epidemic" is everywhere right now, and the data backs it up: approximately 1 in 2 American adults experience loneliness or isolation. But loneliness isn’t just about being physically alone. You can feel entirely isolated in a crowded room or even within a long-term relationship. Conversely, major life transitions—like a change in relationship or health status, relocating, retiring or navigating a quiet house—can suddenly disrupt our sense of connection. Whether you are happily coupled, fiercely independent, or navigating an unexpected life change, this series is for you. This six-week session is an invitation to explore the difference between feeling lonely and finding sanctuary in being alone. Using the evidence-based map of Yoga Nidra—a deeply restorative, lying-down meditation practice—we will systematically guide your nervous system into deep, nourishing rest. Grounded in non-dual philosophy and modern neuroscience, this trauma-informed practice focuses entirely on radical welcoming. Rather than forcing relaxation or demanding that you change your emotional state, each week supports you to meet your current experience exactly as it is. The 6-Week Path: Week 1: Arriving in the Body (The Inner Sanctuary) – Discovering a secure baseline of physical grounding. Week 2: Dropping the Struggle (Welcoming What Is) – Allowing tension and ease to coexist without needing to fix them. Week 3: The Inner Landscape (Hosting Every Guest) – Welcoming thoughts and emotions with curiosity rather than judgment. Week 4: The Space of Well-Being (Resting in Ease) – Connecting to an innate, uncaused knowing that everything is okay. Week 5: The Fabric of Interbeing (Boundless Awareness) – Noticing the open space of awareness that contains all life. Week 6: The Integrated Self (Carrying the Sanctuary) – Staying anchored in steady presence amidst the changing weather of daily life. Each class begins with a 10-minute talk highlighting the common threads between Yoga, Buddhism, and other contemplative wisdom traditions, alongside practical neuroscience. No prior experience is required. Bring your tired nervous system, your busy mind, and your curiosity. Come home to the peace that is already yours.
